President

Bryanna is the owner and midwife of Tooele Midwifery, Clinical Assessment Coordinator for Midwives College of Utah, and a NARM and MCU preceptor. She is a proud member of the First Nations, Ponca Tribe of Nebraska. In addition to running her own practice and serving as president of the Utah Midwives Organization, Bryanna volunteers on Utah’s Maternal and Infant Mortality Review Committees as the American Indian & Alaskan Native Advocate as well as multiple committees for UWNQC.

Kyra has been a birth worker for over a decade.  She initially served as a doula before shifting her focus to midwifery in 2020.  She is currently in phase 3 of her training, working with Birth Journey Midwifery.  She is committed to fostering a supportive birth community and empowering families through education and personalized care. As a member of the UMO Board, Kyra has played a key role in updating the organization's entity status to comply with non-profit requirements. She is also developing a transparent financial reporting system for its members.

Director of Professional Accountability

Bonnie is the owner and midwife of Davis County Midwives. In addition to running her birth center & home birth practice, and volunteering for the UMO, she is a liaison for UWNQC, volunteers for various committees including Birth Bridges, Newborn Transfer Guidelines, Local Hospital Training Initiative, and is a peer review facilitator. Bonnie started the Prison Project with the UDC in 2021 and continues to provide prenatal education classes to incarcerated women through this program.

Amy is the owner and midwife of Joyful Birth Midwifery Services, serving Utah county and surrounding areas. Amy has been involved in birth work for 19 years, with almost a decade of experience running her own midwifery practice. In addition to volunteering for the UMO and running her homebirth practice, Amy is a certified instructor for The Bradley Method.

Director of Education

Lindsay is the owner and midwife of Indigo Midwifery, a homebirth practice in northern Utah. In addition to volunteering for the UMO and running her own practice, Lindsay volunteers for the Infant Mortality Review Committee with the Utah Department of Health and the UWNQC Neonatal and Maternal committees.

Director of Public Relations

Karina is a mother of three, home DIYer, and computer nerd. Karina became passionate about improving birth experiences when doing her own research for her first baby and having a wonderful unmedicated birth, despite being high-risk due to having Type 1 Diabetes. Karina has been supporting birthing families since 2014 as a doula and won the Doula of Distinction award in 2018. Her goal as a midwife is simply to improve birth experiences – by helping to reduce physical and emotional trauma, empowering through knowledge, and providing a safer birth experience led by one’s own body. Karina also has personal and professional experience with VBACs and diabetes during pregnancy and can skillfully educate on things that others may not have reasons to know.

Technical Supervisor

Amber is a student midwife at Indigo Midwifery and will soon be entering the “Primary Under Supervision” Phase of training. In addition to her work as a student midwife, she supports the community as a postpartum doula. She provides technical support to the UMO as well as manages the social media for Cache Valley Birth Center. Amber is passionate and committed to improving birth and postpartum outcomes in Utah.

Morgan is a Primary Midwife Under Supervision at Tooele Midwifery.

Kandice has been a dedicated birth worker for almost a dedcade. Her experience in birth started with becoming a certified Hypnodoula after which she trained through NARM to become a CPM. Kandice attends homebirths and birth center births in Northern Utah and is passionate about providing safe and compassionate care.
